Throughout the year, there are ample opportunities for competitive croquet play for all ability levels. See Cheltenham's fixture list for everything that is going on.
The Club hosts many tournaments, both AC and GC, that are open to all Croquet Association members. Players may enter these events via the tournament entry system on the CA website. Please look at the CA Fixtures Calendar to find out further details such as dates, eligibility criteria etc.
Some tournaments, generally taking place during Festival Week, are exclusively for Club members. The following season long competitions run from March to September and are also exclusively for Club members (who may use the button below to submit their entries).
A Class (Edgar Jackson Trophy): advanced play singles, handicap 1.5 and below.
B Class (Isobel Roe Trophy): advanced play singles, handicap 2 to 5, eligible for A Class.
C Class (Chelsea Tankard): advanced play singles, handicap 6 to 10, eligible for B Class.
D class (Gladstone Trophy): handicap play singles, base 10, handicap 11 to 24, eligible for C Class.
MacKay (MacKay Bowl): handicap play singles, full bisque, any handicap.
Cheltenham Handicap (Club Challenge Bowl): handicap play singles, any handicap.
Curtis Webb (Curtis Webb Salvers): handicap play doubles, any handicap but one player to be 7+.
Sturdy Seniors (Sturdy Seniors Cup): handicap play singles, age 60+, any handicaps.
AC Rabbits: high handicap singles, base 10, usually but not only for beginners.
Blumer (Blumer Cup): 14 point handicap play singles, any handicap (winter).
A Level (Foulser Salver): level play singles, handicap 2 and below.
B Level (Bennett Bowl): level play singles, handicap 3 to 6.
C Level (Barter Gold Star): level play singles, handicap 7 to 12.
GC Handicap (Oldham Salver): handicap play singles, any handicap.
GC Doubles: handicap play doubles, any handicap but one player to be 7+.
GC Rabbits: usually but not only for beginners.
